Founded by local designer Ian Cameron, Cameron Design House is about to celebrate its first year of business in Primrose Hill.
Cameron has been designing in various forms his whole life, from super hero suits as a child to an automated breakfast making machine as a teenager. Cameron designed his first Lighting fixture during a university design project, and discovered a passion for unique and contemporary lighting.
Cameron continued to design and make lights from a West Hampstead garage during the remainder of university design degree and in 2014 a company was formed and Cameron Design House Ltd began designing and crafting lights from the Primrose Hill Workshops on Oppidans Road.
A year on and the small team is busy creating handmade pieces for clients both local and global. They recently created lights for the foyer of the new 50 St Edmund’s Terrace apartment complex (Primrose Hill) and are currently working on lighting for the first class lounge of an international airport, although most of their work comes from residential clients.
