Transforming Regent’s Park Road and Erskine Road through streateries and a new gateway feature

Camden Council are consulting to make the trial Streateries on Regent’s Park Road and Erskine Road permanent. This would aim to make the current outdoor dining permanent, and offer improvements to the look and feel of the area. You can find full details of their proposals on the website listed at the bottom of this page.

They are also proposing to install a new ‘gateway feature’ with wider pavements, trees and planting. This ‘gateway feature’ would improve the feel of the area and signal to drivers to slow down in the main shopping area where people are out and about on the street shopping, socialising or eating or drinking outdoors. Their proposals include:

• Keeping the trial Streateries on Regent’s Park Road and Erskine Road.

• Widening the pavement on both sides of Regent’s Park Road between the junctions of Primrose Hill Road and St. George’s Terrace. This would slow down vehicles and shorten the distance for people crossing the road.

• Installing rain gardens, a tree and low level planting to provide shade, increase biodiversity and mitigate flood risk.

• Add seating where people can stop and rest.

They would also like to hear your ideas on what you want for the future of Regent’s Park Road.
