HS2: Latest Update

In the recent budget, Rachel Reeves announced that the government will find the funds for tunnelling between Old Oak Common and Euston. If this does go ahead, it means Primrose Hill will be affected and therefore a meeting will be held at the Primrose Hill Community Centre on Tuesday 19 November at 7pm.

This is not meant to be a campaigning meeting but aims to inform local residents about the current position of HS2: in general, at Euston and, in particular, how HS2 is likely to affect Primrose Hill.

Amongst the speakers will be Tony Berkeley, who has been a long-term critic of HS2 in the House of Lords; Paul Braithwaite, who has championed the rights of those displaced by HS2 at Euston and elsewhere over many years; and Jeff Travers, who will describe what effect HS2’s tunnels are likely to have, if and when dug, on Primrose Hill.

Because the topic is likely to be of interest to many local people, it is advisable to pre-book a FREE entrance ticket. For this click on the link here.
