If you’re looking for something to do this month, look no further than the Primrose Hill Community Association which has a whole range of exciting events lined up.

Charity Fundraiser in Aid of Neighbourhood Nosh

Saturday 7 May 6.30-9.30pm

Film maker Gurinder Chadha will be holding a special celebration of Indian dance, music, food and film in the community centre. Gurinder will be showing clips of her own movies and Bollywood classics.

D-Style Bollywood Dance School will be providing a live performance and there will be a dance masterclass to take part in, led by Honey Kalaria.

Punjab restaurant will be providing an Indian buffet.

Funds raised at the event will go towards the Primrose Hill Community Association’s Neighbourhood Nosh initiative.

Time to Reconnect – Noreena Hertz

Tuesday 10 May 7-9pm

Noreena Hertz, author of the bestselling book The Lonely Century and named by The Observer as ‘one of the world’s leading thinkers’ will be in conversation with award-winning broadcaster and film maker Tim Samuels. Noreena believes we have built up a lonely world which has been exacerbated by the pandemic. The theme of the evening will be how to reconnect with people once more, and how can we strengthen and nurture our community in Primrose Hill.

This event is free, but please register to attend.


Top of the Hill Quiz

Friday 20 May 7-10pm

The Top of the Hill Quiz is back! Come along for a fun quiz evening with a mixture of brain taxing questions and silly ones.

Recruit a table of up to eight neighbours, or just come yourself and join in with a team. Numbers are limited so buy tickets online now to avoid disappointment. Tickets can also be bought in person at the Community Centre.

£10 per person (£8 for members) includes a glass of wine and prizes for the winners.


Royal Garden Party

And heading into June, you won’t want to miss the Royal Garden Party in Chalcot Square which will be held during the 4-day Jubilee bank holiday to mark the 70 year reign of the Queen. Come along to Chalcot Square on the afternoon of Sunday 5 June between 12 noon and 4pm

There will be music, tea, cake, cucumber sandwiches and Pimms plus children’s activities. All are welcome, dressed for royalty with hats or come as you are!
