Locals Run London Marathon for The Starlight Foundation

On Sunday 21 April, Primrose Hill locals Steph and Matt will be taking on their first ever London Marathon in an effort to fundraise for The Starlight Foundation. They chose this charity because it plays a vital role in providing ill children with some normality and tries to make the hospital experience as positive as it can be as they go through treatment.

An example of what The Starlight Foundation provides can be seen in the moving video below, which showcases the impact fundraising has in providing virtual reality headsets to improve the experience of treatment and medical tests. Evidence shows play opportunities in healthcare settings reduces the fear and distress that many children feel, and the support of health play specialists can mitigate the pain and trauma of treatment.

Steph and Matt are hoping to raise £5000 towards this excellent cause. If you’d like to donate, please follow the link: Starlight Children’s Foundation: Matt and Steph’s First Marathon! (enthuse.com)

As well as running the Marathon, they will be holding a pub trivia night at The Engineer to raise money for The Starlight Foundation.

Any donation would mean a great deal to them! Thank you!
