In March 2020, we ran an article about Fair-Well, refillable goods which were delivered to the local community by a restored milk float named Charlie. They deliver loose dried goods such as nuts, seeds, pulses, grains and pasta as well as domestic cleaning products, soaps and shampoo.

You simply book a slot and they come and fill your own containers, thus eliminating the need for plastic packaging. Their products are organic, environmentally friendly, Fair Trade and plastic-free. They source their products from socially responsible UK co-operatives and businesses to ensure they provide a low-impact food delivery.

Fair-Well have recently crowd-funded in order to develop an online system which will allow them to integrate their booking system and become more efficient and flexible. They plan to engage with some new and ethical tech items to give their company the modern twist it needs to expand.

Now they are seeking further crowd-funding in order to buy another van so as to reach more people and give them the opportunity to access their plastic-free delivery service. They would love to make this way of shopping the norm.
