Wednesday 20 January, 7pm – online via Zoom
Andrew Marr will be talking about his fascinating latest book, New Elizabethans. Telling the story of the changes to UK society in the last 70 years through individuals who made an impact.
Andrew Marr is a broadcaster, writer and painter, who has made a speciality of 20th century British history. In “Elizabethans”, his latest book, he tells the story of social and attitudinal change through the lives of a very mixed group of pivotal British people, from trade unionists and civil rights campaigners to entrepreneurs and politicians. The book, now a Sunday Times bestseller, provided the backdrop to a recent BBC TV series on the same subject. Andrew Marr lives locally.
He will be interviewed by On the Hill contributor Micael Johnstone, corporate strategy consultant, writer and community organiser.
